Zoey Serrano Pitched Modern Right to Censor Gimmick
“Modern day Right to Censor. I pitched that gimmick so many times.— Zoey Serrano

Zoey Serrano, formerly known as WWE star Zoey Stark, pitched a modern version of the Right to Censor gimmick multiple times during her time with the company. The idea originated from Liv Morgan, who pulled Serrano aside at a live event and suggested it would provide her with a clear character and story for every appearance.

Serrano created an X post on the spot in front of Morgan, who approved it after Serrano added a censor element to the image. Serrano described Morgan as creative and credited her fully for the concept, noting she really liked the idea of having a defined story each time she went out.

The first post received significant engagement, leading Serrano to continue the angle with permission from other superstars by criticizing the "inappropriate" attire and styles of Morgan, Bianca Belair, and Rhea Ripley among others. Despite reaching 10 million views and reactions, WWE creative did not move forward with the gimmick at that time.

Serrano's five-year run with WWE concluded this past April as part of the annual post-WrestleMania roster cuts. She has since teamed with Shayna Baszler as the tag team Apex and captured the Knockouts World Tag Team Championships at TNA's Bound for Glory event.
