Sheamus Calls WWE Exit a Long Vacation
Sheamus pushed back against being called an ex-luchador during an interview at the Bundesliga Haus in Chicago on October 31. The four-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion attended the watch party for the Borussia Dortmund versus Bayern Munich soccer match. When introduced as an ex-luchador in the Telemundo Deportes interview, Sheamus replied, "Did you say ex-luchador?"
He added that he is simply taking time off, chilling, relaxing and on a long vacation after his WWE contract expired on October 1. Sheamus became a free agent at that time following the end of his deal with the promotion.
In a July interview with Adam’s Apple, Sheamus said he has no regrets about his WWE career though some circumstances came up that he was unable to discuss. Last week, Fightful Select reported that there is not a huge urgency for AEW to sign Sheamus, though wrestlers including Claudio Castagnoli and Adam Copeland have expressed interest in seeing him join the company.
