Paul Heyman stated that Brock Lesnar would still be the UFC Heavyweight Champion today if not for diverticulitis. Heyman said the condition robbed Lesnar of greater athletic accomplishments in MMA and that without it Lesnar would never have been defeated in the UFC.
Heyman described Lesnar as the greatest athlete on the face of the planet during an interview with Graham Bensinger. He called their partnership magic and lightning in a bottle, noting Lesnar's perfect name and that he was his Aryan while Heyman was his Jew.
Heyman also discussed his five-year run with Roman Reigns that began in August 2020 when Reigns started as The Tribal Chief. He explained that there is no one else he could have followed up his time with Lesnar with other than Reigns and that as an athlete and ring performer Reigns is top tier.
