Samoa Joe Teases Leadership Shift in The Opps

Samoa Joe teased potential changes for The Opps during a backstage promo on Saturday's episode of AEW Collision. Joe appeared in the segment alongside HOOK and Katsuyori Shibata. In the promo, Joe noted that there had been a change in how The Opps were perceived recently.

He suggested this shift could reflect on who the group allowed to lead. Joe's comments appeared to reference HOOK leading the group while Joe was absent from May 27 until his return on September 26. Joe stated, "You see, a while ago, The Opps were perceived as an entity that should not be approached, and if so, with all caution."

He added, "But it seems as of late, maybe that perception has changed a little bit." Joe described the recent change as a failure in leadership or in who they let lead. He pointed out that the man who returned and immediately choked out the TNT Champion was now present.

Joe also highlighted that the man who made the AEW World Champion tap out had come back. He guaranteed that the perception of The Opps would change or that they would change the nature of the beast. Opps members Anthony Bowens and Action Andretti were not part of the segment.
