Mansoor Comments on WWE's Saudi Arabia Plans

“It’s a difficult and tragic situation. I’ve had to check on my family pretty often as a result of the strikes in Saudi. Listen, it’s a tough spot because that company is a publicly traded company. And they have to make a certain amount of money, or people are gonna lose their jobs.— Mansoor
Mansoor discussed the ongoing hostilities in Saudi Arabia and WWE's plans to hold Crown Jewel on November 7 2026. The event was originally scheduled for Riyadh Season Stadium but was relocated indoors to The Venue at ANB Arena because of security risks.
Mansoor said he has had to check on his family frequently due to strikes in Saudi Arabia and described the situation as difficult and tragic. He noted that WWE is a publicly traded company that must generate a certain amount of money or risk people losing their jobs and added that layoffs can occur even when financial targets are met.
The former WWE wrestler stated that wrestlers have very little leverage and 99 percent of the time act as company men and women because they love pro wrestling and do not want to lose the opportunity to support their families.
He explained that saying no to an event is not as simple as fans may believe and that the company will ultimately make its own decision regardless of talent input. Mansoor expressed hope for no unfortunate incidents whether the show proceeds or not and said he is hoping for a peaceful resolution to the conflict in his home country.
