Adam Copeland Says Maple Leaf Gardens Outranks Wembley
“For me, this [Maple Leaf Gardens] was easily the most important venue for me to wrestle in, over any other, over Wembley Stadium, over any of them.— Adam Copeland

AEW wrestler Adam Copeland has stated that performing at Maple Leaf Gardens ranks as the most important venue of his career. He explained that the arena held special meaning because he attended many wrestling events there during his youth.

Copeland recently fulfilled a longtime goal by competing at Maple Leaf Gardens for Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling. He noted that the opportunity felt like a pipe dream after he had been retired for nine years and considering the wrestling landscape at the time.

The wrestler indicated that even after resuming his career, wrestling at the venue seemed unlikely without organizing his own event. He added that the possibility became realistic once he signed with AEW.

Copeland credited Scott D'Amore with helping turn the opportunity into reality through their discussions. He reflected on the experience as a significant milestone while speaking on Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling's YouTube channel.

As Copeland prepares to wind down his career, he has announced that 2027 will be his final year in wrestling. He has now checked off many dream venues, potentially leaving only the Tokyo Dome remaining.
