Gabe Kidd Retains Global Title at Power Struggle

Gabe Kidd defeated Taichi in a 30-minute main event to retain the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship at NJPW Power Struggle. Taichi paid tribute to All Japan legends with moves inspired by Jumbo Tsuruta, Mitsuharu Misawa, Kenta Kobashi and Toshiaki Kawada while Kidd used weapons, a piledriver through a table and Karl Gotch-style piledrivers. After the match Kidd attacked New Japan president Hiroshi Tanahashi.
