Moxley Accepts Takagi Challenge For Wrestle Kingdom 21
Jon Moxley will face Shingo Takagi in a singles match at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 21 on January 4 2027 at the Tokyo Dome. Takagi issued the challenge after his team defeated Moxley and Wheeler Yuta at the 2026 Power Struggle event.
Jeff Cobb pinned Yuta to secure the victory for Unbound Co. against The Death Riders. Following the bell Takagi brawled with Moxley forcing him to scramble away before delivering a Death Rider DDT to Yuta. Takagi then got on the microphone to directly call out Moxley for the Wrestle Kingdom bout.
This will mark their first one-on-one encounter since Moxley beat Takagi in a no disqualification match at NJPW Battle in the Valley in 2024. Moxley last competed at the Tokyo Dome during Wrestle Kingdom 18 in 2024.
