Tony Khan 'Extremely Happy' After Skydance Meetings

Tony Khan held meetings with Skydance on Friday in Los Angeles. Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Khan emerged from the meetings extremely happy. Meltzer noted that Khan was much happier about the relationship than he had been previously.

Khan has spoken positively about David Ellison since the beginning of the process. Khan believes Ellison was the best person to take over and has pointed to Ellison as a supporter of AEW. Khan believes the company will be stronger with the merger.

Meltzer said it does not sound like anything was cut back for AEW following the meetings. Meltzer reported that Skydance had already made two wrestling-related moves, neither of which were positive. Women of Wrestling will receive another season but it will not be syndicated.
