MVP has denied rumors claiming that the Hurt Syndicate refused to put other talent over in AEW. In multiple social media posts, he described the reports as blatant lies involving himself, Shelton Benjamin, and Bobby Lashley.
MVP stated that the group actually wanted to work with younger talent. He specifically mentioned their desire to drop the tag titles back to Private Party.
He directly responded to an article that referenced comments about the Hurt Syndicate not wanting to put people over and suggested their AEW run was essentially finished. MVP called the claims absolutely untrue and questioned the source.

He rejected the accompanying rumor about backstage heat and the group refusing to put others over, while indicating he now knew the origin of the whisper campaign.
The Hurt Syndicate last wrestled at the AEW All In Buy-In event on August 30 at Wembley Stadium. Lashley and Benjamin teamed with Big Boom AJ and QT Marshall to defeat Shane Taylor Promotions.
