Shawn Michaels Set for Major WWE Role

A new report indicates that WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels is set to take on a major corporate role within the company. Michaels first assumed the position as head of NXT in September 2021 after Triple H underwent a cardiac procedure.
In that capacity, he oversaw the transition of the brand from its black and gold aesthetic to NXT 2.0. The third brand gradually developed and evolved into its current form under his leadership. Triple H later returned to WWE as Chief Content Officer following Vince McMahon's retirement, which enabled Michaels to stay in his NXT post.
Michaels was subsequently elevated to Senior Vice President of Talent Development and Creative. According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Michaels will be promoted to Executive Director of Creative Writing and Talent in 2027. Bruce Prichard is scheduled to retire from that position after WrestleMania 43 next year.
