Queen Aminata motivated to improve after Mercedes Mone feud

Queen Aminata faced Mercedes Mone for the AEW Women’s Championship at AEW Grand Slam France. Aminata was unsuccessful in her bid to capture her first title in the promotion. During an appearance on CMLL Informa, Aminata discussed the impact of the championship match. She explained that growing up she did not have a role model in wrestling and instead made herself her own role model.

Aminata stated that after competing against Mone in Paris something stuck with her. She declared that she wants to be as good as Mone, describing her as amazing and noting that people do not give her enough credit. Aminata said the bout changed her approach and that she feels like a different wrestler because of it. She added that the match taking place in France held extra meaning since she grew up there.

Aminata referred to her opponent as the one and only Mercedes Mone. She expressed a strong desire to wrestle Mone again, calling her amazing. Aminata is scheduled to challenge Persephone for the AEW TBS Championship on the upcoming edition of AEW Dynamite on Wednesday.
