Fujita Jr. Hayato Steps Down To Wrestle Again

Fujita "Jr." Hayato announced he is leaving his position as Michinoku Pro commissioner to return to the ring and challenge reigning Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Champion Sangre Azteca Jr. in 2027. Diagnosed with a spinal tumor and ependymoma in late 2018, he previously returned in 2022 to win the MPW Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Championship and LIDET UWF Championship before stepping away again in 2024 due to returning cancer symptoms. Per Fightful, he has wrestled for GLEAT, Pro Wrestling ZERO, NJPW and other promotions across Japan.
