Drew McIntyre Calls WWE His Longest Dysfunctional Marriage

“It’s WWE. It’s my first love. It’s my most dysfunctional relationship, my longest marriage, and we’ll be together as long as we can be together.— Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre discussed his feelings about choosing between acting and professional wrestling during a new interview with CNN News 18. He described WWE as his first love while comparing it to his longest and most dysfunctional marriage. McIntyre stated that he and WWE will remain together for as long as possible.
The Scottish wrestler noted that his acting roles have expanded recently, including work in movies and the WWE-related project Agent Of Shadows. He indicated that despite the growth in his acting career he has not lost interest in his wrestling role.
McIntyre pointed out that Batista shares similar sentiments and wishes he could still perform in front of large crowds. He highlighted the unique energy of live WWE audiences, specifically praising the passion of Indian fans and how involved they become with the product.
McIntyre explained that after filming a scene that goes well the crew simply moves on without any applause or cheers, which leaves him missing the reaction he receives from WWE crowds.
