Darby Allin Says Steven Borden Is Too Sexy For Face Paint
“Yeah. The last thing I want to do is be playing the greatest hits. I think you can do callbacks when it makes sense at the right time. But I think if I were to have come out with face paint and a trench coat and a bat, I probably could have been booed out of the building in the beginning, and I’m still in the beginning right now. So kind of taking it week by week.— Steven Borden
Darby Allin and Steven Borden have been teaming together in AEW since Borden joined the roster, filling the role previously held by his father Sting as Allin's tag partner before Sting's retirement. The pair discussed the possibility of Borden painting his face for competition in the squared circle during an interview with 1010XL's Trent Osborne.
Allin stated that Borden is sexy enough that he does not need the paint. Borden added that callbacks should only occur when they make sense at the right time. He noted that he is still in the beginning stages of his career and is approaching things week by week.
