Callum Newman Criticizes AEW Stars' NJPW Approach
“I’m not salty about them, I just feel angry because when their wrestlers want to make a name for themselves in Japan, they feel NJPW is an easy in for them just because they have AEW on their resume.— Callum Newman

Former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Callum Newman expressed anger over the approach several AEW stars are taking toward NJPW appearances ahead of Wrestle Kingdom 21. Newman stated that he is not salty about Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, MJF, and Will Ospreay appearing on recent NJPW shows to set up future matches but feels they treat New Japan as an easy entry point simply because of their AEW resumes.

The former champion noted that most of those AEW talents only commit to one show, never completing a full tour or experiencing the actual hardships of touring. According to Newman, they typically fly in the day before their match and fly back home immediately afterward without grasping the demanding schedule. "I don't think they get the schedule," Newman said while speaking to NJPW.
