Zoey Serrano Recalls Learning of Shayna Baszler's TNA Signing

“I wanted to do my own thing. I was in a tag for the last — my entire career, so I was like, ‘I wanna go out and do a singles and figure myself out before I go back into another team,’ and it wasn’t discussed.— Zoey Serrano
Zoey Serrano learned about Shayna Baszler's signing with TNA just four days before they were paired together as a tag team, according to her appearance on Busted Open. Once Baszler signed, TNA Head of Creative Delirious immediately suggested reuniting the duo, who went on to win the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Titles at the 2026 Bound For Glory. Serrano expressed to creative that she wanted to pursue a singles run first after being in a tag team for her entire career, but the idea was not discussed further.
