WWE Surprised By Rock's AEW Tribute To PAC

Dwayne Johnson paid tribute to PAC following the wrestler's death on September 27. The Rock sent condolences to Ben's family, friends, and colleagues in a video message. In the video, Johnson made specific reference to AEW in his wording about PAC. Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer that some people in WWE were very surprised by this.

Meltzer added that Dwayne Johnson had been advertised at one point to appear at WWE's recent tryouts in Honolulu, Hawaii. The advertising for his involvement in those tryouts stopped some time ago.
