Stone Cold Steve Austin's 1999 Knee Brace Sells for $225,700

Stone Cold Steve Austin's match-worn and signed knee brace from around 1999 sold at auction for 225700 dollars. The DonJoy knee brace was used by Austin during the late 1990s and includes a WWE letter signed by Linda McMahon.

The item features a similar wear pattern to a previous Austin knee brace that sold for 58045 dollars after being worn at WrestleMania 38. Another knee brace from the same era previously sold for 115900 dollars.

The offered 16-inch brace shows various scratches and some paint loss. Three of the four Velcro fasteners remain fully functional while the top button is broken off.

Austin signed the top of the brace in gold paint pen. Very few of his match-worn items have reached the open market and vests worn by him have never surfaced.

Austin served as the driving force behind wrestling's boom in the late 1990s. He helped transform WWE during the Attitude Era through his anti-authority persona and rivalry with Mr. McMahon.
