Tony Khan Updates Mercedes Moné Injury Return

AEW

AEW President Tony Khan provided an update on Mercedes Moné's injury during a media call discussing the upcoming All Out pay-per-view. Moné had been scheduled to compete at the event but was not cleared by doctors. Khan described the situation as typical in a contact sport like wrestling where injuries occur and require roster flexibility.

Khan stated that Moné's injury is not long-term. He indicated plans for her to return to action in October. The company adjusted its booking by holding a match at All Out to determine the next challenger for the world title at the Wrestledream pay-per-view.

According to Khan, Moné is viewed as a fighting champion who is eager to compete. Her absence from All Out altered some original plans for the card. Multiple former world champions are positioned to step up in her place.

Khan also confirmed that AEW will hold its World's End pay-per-view later in the year. The event is scheduled to serve as the culmination of the Continental Classic tournament. Planning for the calendar is already underway to accommodate the show's timing.
