Tony D'Angelo Attended Speech Therapy After NXT Character Change

Tony D'Angelo underwent speech therapy to develop his new character after parting ways with the D'Angelo Family. The wrestler explained that he had a slight accent in his previous role that needed adjustment for the more rugged persona he now portrays.

D'Angelo said he had to keep reminding himself and holding his tongue during the transition to maintain the evolved character. He stopped wearing suits as part of his deliberate effort to separate himself from his former identity as The Don.

In comments to Battle on Battleground, Tony D'Angelo told Mark Henry that he aims to demonstrate versatility by handling both character-driven segments and a badass in-ring style. D'Angelo stated that the changes allow him to show what he is capable of so that those in charge know his range for future opportunities.
