Stephanie Vaquer Returns at WWE Live Event

Stephanie Vaquer made a surprise return to the ring on Thursday at a WWE live event in Portland, Maine. The 33-year-old former WWE Women’s World Champion teamed with IYO SKY and Lola Vice to face Fatal Influence in a trios match.
Vaquer had been scheduled to return from an ankle injury on the Monday, October 26 episode of Raw in a match against Becky Lynch. General manager Adam Pearce announced she was not medically cleared to compete. Lynch then challenged current champion Liv Morgan instead.
Subsequent reports indicated Vaquer was dealing with an illness that would sideline her indefinitely. Dave Meltzer reported the illness was not considered serious, though no return timetable was provided at the time. Vaquer had last competed on October 17 in a four-way match during WWE’s Hawaii live events.
Prior to her absence, Vaquer lost the WWE Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan in a three-way match at Money in the Bank that also included Becky Lynch. The planned Raw match against Lynch was intended to determine the next challenger for Morgan’s title. Lynch later faced Morgan for the belt and won by disqualification, but Morgan retained the championship.
Vaquer had been sidelined with injury issues leading up to the planned Raw return. The ankle injury was not fully healed according to announcements at the time. She made her in-ring comeback at the November 5 house show in Portland.
