Jason Sensation recalls Owen Hart opening door to WWE impressions

“Yeah, so I had this dream growing up. Maybe I could somehow get in as the next Howard Finkel or the next Mean Gene, just somehow find a way because I loved it, I idolized it, I ate, slept, and breathed it.— Jason Sensation
Jason Sensation appeared on Insight With Chris Van Vliet and recalled how his impressions first connected him with WWE. He explained that after attending broadcasting school he created a demo tape and began sending it to WWE Canada in hopes of landing a role similar to Howard Finkel or Mean Gene.
Sensation described his excitement at a wrestling event in Ottawa at the Corel Centre where his then-girlfriend Terri secured him a front-row ringside ticket and a backstage meet-and-greet. The meet-and-greet featured Owen Hart and British Bulldog, two of his favorite wrestlers, marking his first close encounter with performers.
During the meet-and-greet Sensation became overly enthusiastic, pushing to the front of the line, grabbing their championship belts and declaring that he could perform any voice or impression. Owen Hart showed immediate interest with a mischievous look and asked Sensation to imitate British Bulldog.
Sensation responded with the line "British Bulldog, I have the power!" which prompted laughter from both Hart and Bulldog. Bulldog then requested an Owen Hart impression, leading Sensation to deliver "I’m a Slammy Award winner, whoa!" Owen Hart told Sensation he would bring him backstage that night to perform impressions for the other wrestlers. Sensation expressed his gratitude to Hart while they walked down the hallway toward the dressing room, noting that Hart appeared distracted as he planned how to use the impressions to rib the locker room.
Hart followed through on his promise and had Sensation perform impressions of various wrestlers directly to their faces. Most of the wrestlers enjoyed the performances, according to Sensation.
