Stephanie McMahon Recalls Writing UK-Burying Promos For Vince

“I remember when I first started, I was shadowing my dad. I would get to work on his promos. I remember being in the UK and getting to work on some of his promos that were along those lines (of burying the UK). It was so fun. It’s always so much more fun to do that.— Stephanie McMahon
Stephanie McMahon recalled working with her father Vince McMahon on promos that buried the United Kingdom while speaking with Grayson Waller on the podcast What’s Your Story. McMahon said she was shadowing her dad when she first started and got to work on his promos during a trip to the UK that followed those lines.
She described the experience of crafting the UK-burying promos as fun and noted it is always much more enjoyable to do that type of material. Waller, an Australian wrestler familiar with taking shots at the UK, had remarked that no one wants WrestleMania in the rain, prompting McMahon’s memories of the promos.
Both Waller and McMahon agreed that the UK fans enjoyed the barbs and were in on the joke. The WWE has made numerous trips to the United Kingdom over the years and there has been recent discussion about potentially hosting WrestleMania there.
