Royce Keys Explains 946 Faction Origins

“We each bring something different. Melo’s a little pit bull. When I take that leash off him, it’s dangerous. And Jaida, she hits harder than some of the dudes. I always say it’s like a pot of gumbo.— Royce Keys
Royce Keys recently switched from SmackDown to become a heel and created the faction known as 946. Keys revealed that he had known all the members prior to them officially uniting as a group. He described 946 as an authentic representation drawn from their individual upbringings and origins.
Keys compared the faction to a pot of gumbo, noting that each member contributes distinct elements making it difficult for opponents to adjust. He characterized Carmelo Hayes as a pit bull that becomes dangerous once unleashed and stated that Jaida Parker hits harder than some of the men.
The name 946 comes from the initial three numbers of ZIP codes in Oakland, California, and WWE had filed a trademark for it. Keys indicated that the faction plans to target other members of the WWE SmackDown and NXT rosters going forward.
Since forming on the main roster, no one has been safe from 946, which includes Royce Keys, OTM, Carmelo Hayes and Jaida Parker. The group is positioned to confront The Bloodline in War Games while maintaining additional objectives. In an interview, Keys said they have their sights set on War Games and primarily on The Bloodline and Roman Reigns, adding that nobody is safe and the faction could appear on Raw, SmackDown or NXT.
