Rusev Praises Penta's Orphan Aid in Mexico
WWE Superstar Rusev recently spoke about the philanthropic efforts of fellow performer Penta in Mexico. Rusev told TMZ that Penta has helped tons of orphans and people without homes by buying them truckloads of toys and clothes. Rusev added that Penta is a tremendous guy who does not talk about his good deeds publicly.
Rusev shared that if people get to know Penta they would love him as a person. Penta hails from a small town in Mexico and has given back to his hometown of Ecatepec through several community and business initiatives. In 2024 Penta opened a restaurant dedicated to his father in Ecatepec.
Near the restaurant Penta runs a gym that offers personalized lucha libre training along with boxing and MMA classes for local residents. Last year Penta explained in an interview that he stands by the people of Ecatepec because they have been there for him since day one.
Penta said he feels like he never left the neighborhood even though he keeps his real identity secret in lucha libre tradition. Penta parted ways with AEW in 2025 before joining WWE early that same year.
