Rey Fenix Retains AAA Cruiserweight Title Against Ricky Saints

Rey Fenix retained the AAA Cruiserweight Championship against Ricky Saints in their third matchup on the October 30 episode of WWE SmackDown. Saints had been disqualified two weeks earlier on SmackDown in his bid to take the title from Fenix.

Fenix started the contest strongly by using his speed advantage and connected with a Tope Con Hilo to the outside. Saints gained control before the commercial break by sending Fenix to the floor and driving him over the announce table.

After the break Saints tried to remove Fenix's mask which caused the champion to retreat to the corner. Saints delivered a Superplex from the top rope that resulted in a near fall before Fenix answered with a Roundhouse Kick for a near fall of his own.

Saints countered a Rolling Cutter attempt into a Tornado DDT and later hit a Death Valley Driver for a two-count. When Saints took the action back to the corner Fenix answered with a Powerbomb and followed with two Rolling Cutters that still failed to end the match.

Fenix finally secured the victory by hitting a Mexican Muscle Buster on the second attempt after Saints escaped the first.
