Cody Rhodes Invites Street Fighter Cast to WWE

“It would be amazing. He’s got all the tools for it already.— Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes admitted he felt nervous approaching Triple H to request time away from WWE duties for filming the Street Fighter movie. Rhodes portrayed Guile in the film, which hit theaters on October 16. During an appearance on the Double Coverage Podcast, Rhodes explained that Triple H serves as his coach and guide within the wrestling industry.
He noted that as head of creative, Triple H prioritizes wrestling above all, focusing on delivering enjoyment for live SmackDown, Raw, PLE, NXT, and engaging young fans, old fans, and hardcore fans alike. Rhodes said he was anxious about informing Triple H that the WWE title, described as the company's biggest title, would be absent during his absence.
The conversation turned out to be one of the most pleasantly surprising discussions he had experienced. Triple H responded positively by agreeing to coordinate dates and develop ideas for seamless integration upon Rhodes' return, avoiding conventional tactics like setting wrestlers on fire or throwing them off the Tron.
Rhodes observed that the wrestling world was already aware of the filming plans involving the cast. He emphasized that wrestling remains number one for WWE, and as WWE champion at the time, it had to be his top priority as well.
Rhodes added that Triple H possesses a larger worldview gained through experience, making him the ideal and only person to lead WWE.
