Nic Nemeth Wants Final Run Like Peers

Nic Nemeth Wants Final Run Like Peers
“I would like to do a cool thing. I would like to do my last show in LA, my last show in Cleveland, my last time fighting for a title, all these different things and go, 'This is my last one.'— Nic Nemeth

John Cena retired from in-ring competition last year. Adam Copeland is scheduled to retire next year. Their former colleague Nic Nemeth continues to remain active in the ring without signs of slowing down.

Nemeth has considered what his own path toward retirement could entail. He expressed interest in having a final run that includes specific last matches in certain cities and for titles. He noted that many in the industry do not get to choose how their careers end.

Nemeth began his professional wrestling career in 2004 under the WWE banner as a former collegiate wrestler. At that time, Cena and Copeland were establishing themselves as prominent singles competitors on the main roster. Other performers including The Miz and Mickie James were advancing through the developmental system alongside him.

He hopes that wrestlers from his generation, now veterans in the business, will receive recognition for their contributions before retiring. Nemeth appreciates when performers who have achieved a great deal are given a proper send-off that acknowledges their efforts and sacrifices.

Nemeth currently competes in TNA. He holds one-half of the TNA World Tag Team Championships. He lost the TNA World Championship to Leon Slater at Bound For Glory on October 11.
