Max Caster Leaves Door Open for AEW Return
Max Caster has stated he is stepping away from pro wrestling for an extended period following his controversial appearance at TNA's Bound for Glory pay-per-view on October 11. During his entrance at the event, Caster performed a freestyle rap that referenced recent attacks on Saudi Arabia with the line “This the firing squad, I drop bombs, you don’t even have to fly to Riyadh.”
TNA announced the following day that it was parting ways with Caster, who then issued a public apology. Caster made a surprise appearance at Awesome Championship Wrestling’s Mischief Night II event in Poughkeepsie, New York, on October 17, where he told fans he would be taking a prolonged break from the ring.
He said, “I don’t know what my next move is. I don’t know where I’ll be. During a virtual signing for K&S WrestleFest on October 26, Caster indicated he would not be accepting any new wrestling bookings for the time being, describing the signing as his last wrestling-related activity for an undefined amount of time.
When asked about a potential return to AEW, Caster replied, “It’s wrestling, right? You never say never,” but noted that such a move would constitute a wrestling booking he is currently declining. Caster also stated that his former AEW tag team partner Anthony Bowens remains with the promotion, saying, “He’s still there.
