Speedball Mike Bailey addressed his and Andrade El Idolo's absence during the Don Callis Family's beatdown of Will Ospreay and Adam Copeland on the October 21 edition of AEW Dynamite. The assault took place immediately after Ospreay and Copeland's tag team match against Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight.

"I just saw Will, by the way, I want to apologize to Will Ospreay that I filmed the beginning of his match, and then afterwards, he was promptly surrounded by members of the Don Callis Family." Bailey added that he assumes Andrade El Idolo was occupied with personal matters, possibly with someone or already on a boat with friends taking selfies. He expressed anticipation for the upcoming Blood and Guts event, describing it as extremely exciting.
