Max Caster Confirms Anthony Bowens Still With AEW

Max Caster has left AEW while his former tag team partner Anthony Bowens remains with the promotion. Both wrestlers had contracts that were set to expire at the start of October 2026. Caster is no longer featured on the AEW website roster page.
Bowens continues to be listed on the AEW roster. During a virtual signing for K&S WrestleFest, Caster confirmed that Bowens still works for the company. Caster added that he did not want to speak too much on behalf of Bowens regarding the details of his contract situation.
As The Acclaimed, Caster and Bowens were one-time AEW Tag Team Champions but no longer compete together. Caster has stepped away from wrestling following a controversial appearance at TNA Bound for Glory 2026. Bowens was recently seen at the NJPW Dojo in California.
Caster agreed to the K&S WrestleFest virtual signing a couple of months earlier and chose to fulfill the commitment despite his break from wrestling. He indicated that he will be away from the ring for an undefined period of time. When asked about a potential future return to AEW, Caster did not rule out the possibility.
Caster made his first post-AEW appearance at TNA Bound for Glory on October 11, where he lost to Moose. A line in his entrance rap referencing violence in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia resulted in TNA ending its relationship with him shortly after the event.
