Matt Hardy shared his perspective on Shawn Michaels potentially assuming a larger role in WWE creative. The current TNA star and wrestling veteran has collaborated with Michaels in NXT through the partnership between WWE and TNA. Hardy appeared on "The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy" to discuss the situation amid reports of Michaels taking over for Bruce Prichard as WWE Executive Director of Creative Writing and Talent.
He noted that Michaels would introduce a distinct approach to the main roster based on their recent work together. Hardy explained that Michaels focuses more on action when collaborating with younger talent. According to Hardy, Michaels incorporates over-the-top characters and storytelling but avoids lingering in matches.
He described Michaels urging participants to maintain a fast pace in TV matches, particularly for those capable of high athletic output. Hardy stated that this could result in more athletically driven matches on the main roster. He views placing Michaels in a more powerful position as a positive development.
Hardy believes fans who appreciate the in-ring elements of WWE would gain the most from increased involvement by the WWE Hall of Famer.
