LJ Cleary Out 9-12 Months With Injury

LJ Cleary announced today on social media that he will be sidelined for 9-12 months because of an injury that requires surgery. The 27-year-old wrestler from Ireland who now lives in the United States described the past year as the best of his career.

He also gained experience wrestling in Japan for Pro Wrestling NOAH and worked one show for NJPW in 2024. In 2025 Cleary took part in a WWE tryout while his fiancee Lyra Valkyria performs in the WWE Raw women’s division.

According to his timeline the earliest possible return to the ring would be summer 2027 with a full 12-month absence extending to October or November 2027.
