Kyle Fletcher Explains Origin of 'Say My Full Name'

“Say my full name was something I said once in a promo and I can’t remember who, but somebody texted me and was like, ‘You should keep saying that.’— Kyle Fletcher
Kyle Fletcher discussed the origin of his catchphrase "say my full name" during an appearance on What Happened When with Tony Schiavone and Conrad Thompson. Fletcher explained that he first used the line once in a promo and then received a text from someone encouraging him to keep saying it.
The concept behind the phrase was that addressing someone with their full name shows respect, as in the example "Hello Mr. Kyle Fletcher, how are you?" Fletcher wanted fans and others to demonstrate respect toward him by using his complete name rather than shortening it to Kyle or Fletcher.
As a villain, he added that the flipside allows him to refer to others by a shorthand or one name to show disrespect in return. Fletcher's team came out victorious in the Blood & Guts match on Wednesday. He is set to challenge Will Ospreay for the AEW Title at the upcoming Full Gear event.
