Kevin Nash Praises Roman Reigns vs LA Knight At MITB
“I knew he wasn't going to lose. It was the opening match. It was kind of a 'follow that' motherf***ers match.— Kevin Nash
Kevin Nash praised the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between Roman Reigns and LA Knight at Money in the Bank. Reigns retained the title against Knight in the opening match of the premium live event. Nash said on his "Kliq This" podcast that the bout set a standard for the night by taking fans through a series of emotions.
He admitted knowing beforehand that Reigns was not going to lose the championship. Nash described it as a "follow that" match and stated that both Reigns and LA Knight were great with some great false finishes. The WWE Hall of Famer pointed to the upcoming "Street Fighter" movie as a factor in the decision to keep the title on Reigns.
He explained that Reigns, who plays Akuma in the film, would appear on the red carpet as champion rather than a former titleholder. Nash wondered whether creative would want water cooler talk to focus on Reigns having lost the title just before the movie's release or to highlight him as the current WWE champion.
Reigns and the Bloodline have moved on from LA Knight and are now feuding with 946 ahead of Survivor Series.
