Jeff Cobb Found WWE Face Paint More Annoying Than Lucha Mask
“Paint. Because I’ve never done that before. Although, to be fair, I’ve never done the mask thing before. But the paint was truly different. Because I was told, you’re going to wear the paint like you did in Japan, and I never wore paint in Japan. I think they got me confused with somebody else.— Jeff Cobb

Jeff Cobb said that wearing face paint during his WWE stint was more annoying than wrestling in a mask for Lucha Underground. Cobb was part of the MFT faction in WWE alongside Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga, where the group competed while wearing face paint.

In a new interview with SOTO619, Cobb was asked to compare the two experiences and stated that the paint proved more difficult. He explained that he had never worn paint before, although he had also never worn a mask prior to Lucha Underground.

Cobb revealed that WWE officials instructed him to wear the paint like he had in Japan, but noted they had confused him with another wrestler since he never wore paint there. The paint required him to locate the right product and took a long time to remove using wipes, which he later discovered had been recalled.

In contrast, Cobb said the mask could simply be put on and taken off after the match, even though breathing was difficult while wearing it.
