Kevin Knight Addresses JetSpeed Split
“You know, I think I might have been a little hard on Speedball for not choosing my side at the time.— Kevin Knight

AEW wrestler Kevin Knight discussed his past actions toward former tag team partner "Speedball" Mike Bailey in an interview. Knight turned on Bailey earlier this year after the duo formed JetSpeed last year, ending their partnership when he attacked his teammate and shifted to a heel role.

Knight admitted he may have been too harsh on Bailey for not joining his side during the split. He noted that events unfolded as they did for a reason and observed that Bailey has been thriving independently alongside Will Ospreay and his group.

Knight stated he has also been succeeding on his own following the breakup. He expressed openness to some form of reconciliation with Bailey without elaborating on specifics. "You know, I think I might have been a little hard on Speedball for not choosing my side at the time," Knight said. "But, you know, things happen for a reason."

The former AEW TNT Champion indicated he has no interest in facing Bailey's powerful kicks again. Knight emphasized that as long as both parties remain on their respective sides, there would be no issues between them. "So maybe there's some reconciliation. But, you know, that guy kicks so hard. I'm really not trying to experience that ever again," Knight added. He felt the impact of those kicks firsthand in their singles match on the June 3 episode of AEW Dynamite, where he defeated Bailey while holding the TNT title.

Bailey had been caught off guard by Knight's betrayal at the time. With several months now passed since the split, Knight did not completely dismiss the idea of a future reunion but suggested it would not occur in the near term.
