John Cena Returning to RAW on November 2

WWE announced that John Cena will return to Monday Night RAW on November 2, 2026. The episode will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. This marks his first live RAW appearance since retiring from in-ring competition.
Cena last appeared on RAW almost a year ago. WWE has not revealed his role for the show, which could include serving as an emcee or appearing in a backstage segment. He will not take any bumps, having ruled them out after retirement.
The reason for his return is unknown but comes ahead of Crown Jewel on November 7, 2026 in Saudi Arabia. Cena hosted WrestleMania 42 earlier this year and announced the inaugural John Cena Classic tournament at WWE Backlash in May 2026.
He retired from in-ring action in December 2025 after a year-long retirement tour that included 18 matches. His final match was a loss by tapout to Gunther at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13, 2025. Cena has signed a five-year WWE ambassador agreement and remains involved with the company through special appearances and non-wrestling roles.
