Grayson Waller Credits Triple H Advice for 'Cages Rattled' Line
“The opening line, ‘cages rattled.’ That’s from Hunter [Triple H] doing an interview with Cody (Rhodes). They were talking about when Cody left and how sometimes you have to go and rattle the cages.— Grayson Waller

Grayson Waller returned to NXT at the end of July and delivered a promo in which he expressed his frustrations and aimed to shake things up.

During an appearance on What’s Your Story with Stephanie McMahon, Waller reviewed the segment with her and discussed the origin of his 'cages rattled' line.

Waller explained that the phrase came from an interview Triple H conducted with Cody Rhodes about leaving WWE and the need to make noise to get noticed.

He had watched the interview shortly before his own promo and applied the advice to his situation of remaining quiet and polite backstage without gaining attention.

Waller realized he needed to change his approach and make himself heard, which prompted the promo that drew focus to his dissatisfaction.

Cody Rhodes had previously shared that Triple H advised him to rattle some cages after departing WWE. Waller is scheduled to defend his NXT Championship against Tony D’Angelo at NXT Halloween Havoc.
