Contract News: Austin Creed and Kofi Kingston Signed a 5 Year AEW Contract
Kofi revealed that the main reason he and Austin Creed joined AEW was to feud with the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. Kofi made the comment during an appearance on The Mick and Kenny Show while speaking with Mick Foley.
He explained that he and Creed had long viewed the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega as their dream opponents. Kofi and Creed previously had a video game challenge and a big face off with the Bucks and Kenny Omega while they were still with WWE.
Kofi said he did not know how that interaction was allowed because the company was very particular about not letting people interact with those from other promotions. The pair frequently discussed their dream matches against the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega.
Kofi noted that now that they are in AEW the matches are on the cusp of actually happening. That victory sets up a potential tag title match between the Bucks and the team of Kofi and Creed if the latter earns a title shot.
