Toni Storm AEW Return Not Imminent

Toni Storm has not appeared for AEW since March of this year following a brutal backstage attack that left her bloodied and unconscious after her match at Revolution. She defeated Marina Shafir at that event but was written off television with the assault whose perpetrator remains unknown.

Mysterious tapes related to Storm surfaced at AEW WrestleDream and teased the return of Timeless Toni Storm. The initial attack angle was planned to include a handful of hints on television pointing to different wrestlers who could have been responsible and a name was in mind for the assailant though that name was protected in case the story changed.

At the AEW WrestleDream media scrum Tony Khan said “I know we’ve been missing Timeless Toni Storm but everybody’s just been doing absolutely fantastic” and noted that the women’s locker room had stepped up in her absence. Khan added that Mercedes Moné is now the great world champion who had her first successful defense that night and that Timeless Toni Storm is on a lot of their minds though he could not say when or where she would return looking to get payback.
