Darby Allin Retains TNT Title Against Josh Alexander

Darby Allin retained his AEW TNT Championship against Josh Alexander during a hard-fought match on AEW Fright Night Dynamite. Alexander, representing the Don Callis Family, immediately targeted the champion with two dragon screws that sent Allin crashing into the ring barricade and the ring steps.

Allin rallied briefly inside the ring only for Alexander to deliver a suplex on the apron. Allin responded by shoving Alexander off the top rope, causing him to land spine-first on the edge of the apron and buying the champion recovery time.

Allin later used Alexander's own headgear to choke him before locking in the Scorpion Deathlock, forcing Alexander to reach the ropes. Allin then climbed the top rope for a coffin drop, but Alexander rolled aside. Both competitors spilled outside the ring where Alexander positioned two chairs and executed a leaping tombstone piledriver, driving Allin through them. Allin still managed to kick out when the action returned inside the ring.

Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero then ran down to assist Alexander, but Steven Borden emerged from the crowd wearing a clown mask and neutralized them. Alexander attempted to secure a hold in the ring during the distraction, yet Allin reversed it to score the victory and retain the title.
