Zilla Fatu was interviewed on the stage during the October 27 edition of WWE NXT on The CW as he was set to spin the Halloween Havoc wheel to decide the match type against Charlie Dempsey at the premium live event.

Arianna Grace then appeared and distracted Fatu, enabling her BirthRight stablemates Lexis King, Charlie Dempsey, Uriah Connors and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo to ambush him. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo had been stretchered out of an eight-man tag match at an NXT live event in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada on October 16 after taking a backdrop to the floor and landing badly.

He was taken to a hospital for evaluation and shared an Instagram story photo from a hospital bed showing him in a neck brace while flipping off the camera. A follow-up Instagram story showed him in a gym mirror selfie without the brace as he captioned it "Right back to the grind."

Lorenzo did not appear on the most recent episode of NXT before returning to action on the October 27 show.
