American Alpha to defend SmackDown Tag Titles in Turmoil

SmackDown Tag Team Champions American Alpha will defend their titles in a Tag Team Turmoil Match at WWE Elimination Chamber on February 12.

The match was set after Jason Jordan and Chad Gable issued an open challenge that led to a brawl on the January 31 episode of SmackDown LIVE.

General Manager Daniel Bryan announced the title defense on Talking Smack.

The challengers include The Usos, Heath Slater and Rhyno, Breezango, The Ascension, and The Vaudevillains.

Four of the five opposing teams are former tag team champions.

The Tag Team Turmoil Match format starts with two teams, with new teams entering after each elimination until one team remains.
