AEW champs skip UK indie date after Blood & Guts

AEW Women's World Tag Team Champions Hayter and Windsor have withdrawn from their scheduled match at Pro Wrestling Eve's Elite Encounters II event this weekend in Wolverhampton, England. The Brawling Birds duo made the decision after competing in the women's Blood & Guts match on the previous night's episode of Dynamite.

Pro Wrestling Eve promoter Dann Read said on Fightful's In the Weeds podcast that the participants discussed their physical condition following the match and their upcoming title defense. Read explained that the wrestlers chose to prioritize their Full Gear AEW Women's World Tag Team title defense set for a week from this Saturday.

The promoter added that the Hyperactive versus Brawling Birds match will be rescheduled for a future date rather than being canceled. Read stated that the decision was not forced and came after direct conversations with the talent about what they were comfortable with after the previous night's events.

All participants in both the men's and women's Blood & Guts matches from Dynamite appear to be okay despite the physical toll of the bouts.
