Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega have joined MJF and Will Ospreay in building toward major matches at WrestleKingdom. Moxley is headed for a rematch against Shingo Takagi. Omega is positioned as the likely challenger for Yota Tsuji's IWGP World Title.

The CMLL 2026 Women's International Grand Prix is scheduled for Friday, October 23. Megan Bayne, Harley Cameron, Queen Aminata and Marina Shafir will represent Team World. Persephone and Thunder Rosa will represent Team Mexico.

Rumors continue to circulate that Kairi Sane will join AEW after it was announced she will appear on the Jericho Cruise.

WrestleDream has concluded, leaving AEW with time to prepare for the next pay-per-view event, Full Gear. The build begins on Dynamite from Coral Gables, Florida.

Will Ospreay retained the AEW World Heavyweight Title in the first Clockwork Carnage match. The qualifying matches were predictable, but the final group of competitors was considered strong. The rules were straightforward and the in-ring action met expectations.

Ospreay started at number one and wrestled the full match. Mike Bailey was included for a specific purpose and was eliminated accordingly. Takeshita's elimination by Okada was surprising, as some observers felt Ricochet would have been a more logical choice for an earlier exit.

Following the match, Adam Copeland appears set as Ospreay's next opponent. Copeland has stated that 2027 will be his final year as an active wrestler and that he wants to win the AEW World Title before retiring.
