David Finlay Says AEW Pay Beats NJPW

David Finlay and Clark Connors were officially announced as All Elite in March 2026. Connors had been appearing on AEW television since the start of the year with Gabe Kidd, while Finlay made his debut that same month.

During an appearance on What Happened When with Tony Schiavone, both wrestlers discussed their experiences in AEW. Finlay said he enjoys kicking ass, spending time with his group, performing in different cities twice a week, and interacting with Schiavone on television.

Connors highlighted the financial aspect as a positive element of working with AEW. Finlay agreed and stated that AEW compensation is significantly better than what New Japan offers.

Finlay had previously mentioned that NJPW proposed a salaried contract to him when AEW first launched.
