Zelina Vega Recalls Cody Rhodes Extending Her Match Time
Zelina Vega recalled an instance where Cody Rhodes unexpectedly extended the time for her United States Championship match against Giulia on SmackDown.
Rhodes added 10 extra minutes to the bout that had been scheduled for very limited television time.
The first half hour of that SmackDown episode featured a segment between Rhodes and John Cena.
Vega had inquired about the length of that segment to help plan her own match, especially since English is not Giulia's first language.
After initially expecting only about a minute for their match, Rhodes later informed them in Gorilla that he had saved them an additional 10 minutes.
The sudden change caused immediate panic backstage, leading Vega to ask Triple H to extend the match introductions so they could adjust their plans.
