WrestleMania 43 Set for Saudi Arabia
WrestleMania 43 is scheduled to take place in a little over six months. The event will be held in Saudi Arabia next spring. This marks the first time WrestleMania will occur outside North America.
TKO Group CEO Ari Emanuel stated that the company is monitoring the situation in Saudi Arabia. The monitoring relates to potential threats to the upcoming Crown Jewel event set for November 7 in the country.
Reports indicate that WrestleMania 43 has two main events under consideration. One potential matchup is Cody Rhodes against CM Punk. This bout is now under serious consideration following earlier discussions.
Rhodes and Punk previously faced each other at this year's SummerSlam in Minnesota for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Punk won the match, which featured interference from Randy Orton. The two wrestlers have not faced each other since.
The reported main event for night two is Roman Reigns versus Oba Femi for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Femi made his WWE debut earlier this year. He defeated Brock Lesnar at his first WrestleMania, again at SummerSlam, and also won the King of the Ring tournament.
